6 Days 5 Nights Amboseli, Lake Naivasha & Maasai Mara Safari

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. After a short safari briefing, depart and drive south towards Amboseli National Park, enjoying scenic views of the Kenyan countryside along the way. Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in time for lunch and relaxation.

In the afternoon, head out for your first exciting game drive in Amboseli National Park, renowned for its vast elephant herds and stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. During the game drive, you may encounter lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and numerous bird species. As the sun sets over the plains, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Spend a full day exploring the diverse landscapes and wildlife of Amboseli National Park. Begin with an early morning game drive when wildlife activity is at its peak and the views of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro are usually clearest. Amboseli is famous for its large free-ranging elephants, offering exceptional photography opportunities.

Return to the lodge for breakfast and leisure time before heading back into the park for another extended game drive. Explore swamps, open plains, and acacia woodlands while spotting a variety of wildlife including hyenas, jackals, hippos, gazelles, and numerous bird species. Later in the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Lake Naivasha where you will spot hippos resting in the water and a variety of birdlife including fish eagles, kingfishers, pelicans, and cormorants. You may also choose to visit Crescent Island for an optional guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and antelopes. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and drive towards the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve, passing through scenic Rift Valley landscapes and traditional Maasai villages. Arrive at your safari camp or lodge in time for lunch and relaxation.

In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the Maasai Mara, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves. The reserve is home to the Big Five and an incredible concentration of wildlife including lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Enjoy the golden African sunset across the savannah before returning to camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Spend the entire day exploring the vast plains of the Maasai Mara on extensive game drives. After an early breakfast, depart with packed lunch for a full-day safari adventure in search of Africa’s iconic wildlife. The Maasai Mara offers some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in the world and is particularly famous for predator sightings.

Visit the Mara River, known for its resident hippos and crocodiles and as the dramatic crossing point during the Great Wildebeest Migration season. Guests may also choose an optional early morning hot air balloon safari for a breathtaking aerial view of the Mara followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush.
